Free Things in Disney World

Disney World is EXPENSIVE. We all know this, but did you know that there are actually things that are free? It’s always great to save some money when you can, so here’s how you can do that on your next Disney trip. Some things just might surprise you!

11 FREE Things in Walt Disney World

1. Ice Water in the Disney Parks

You can get a free cup of ice water at any of the counter service dining places in Disney World. Staying hydrated is extremely important in the hot Florida weather, so be sure to take advantage of this.

2. Celebration Pins

Grab a celebration pin at Guest relations, your resort, and even some shops. You can get celebration pins for birthdays, anniversary/ honey moons, first visit, and even generic “I’m Celebrating” pins. Cast members will notice your pin and wish you congratulations, birthday wishes, etc.

3. Pixie Dust

There are two places in Magic Kingdom where anyone ages 3 and up can get pixie dusted for free. The Barber Shop on Main Street and Sir Mickey’s behind Cinderella’s Castle in Fantasyland. Pixie Dusting is when a Disney Cast Member sprinkles a glittery powder over your head with a wand. It’s a magical experience for kids…and even adults.

4. World Showcase Crafts

In each of the 11 countries in Epcot’s World Showcase, there are Kidcot Fun Stops. Here, kids can do crafts to learn about each country and then keep them as souvenirs.

5. Disney Transportation

Disney World provides free transportation to get around property for all its guest. Discover everything you need to know about Disney World transportation, here.

6. Soda

Head over to Club Cool in Epcot to cool off and try different Coca Cola products from different countries around the world. It’s free to sample all of the different flavors and a perfect place for a mid-day pick me up during a long park day.

7. Children Under 3 Eat for Free

If you’re eating at a table service restaurant, children under three can eat off your plate for free. It doesn’t matter if you are dining at a buffet, family-style, or traditional table service restaurant.

8. Photography

Even if you don’t purchase Memory Maker, you can always ask a designated PhotoPass cast member to take a picture for you with your phone or camera. They will be happy to do so!

9. Wifi

Wifi is free for both Resort guests and those not staying on property. Now, it’s not the greatest wifi in the world, but it does the job.

10. Wake Up Calls

You can schedule a wake up call in the morning if you are staying at a Disney World Resort hotel. One of the Disney characters, usually Mickey, will call to wake you up to start your day off on a Magical Start.

11. Free Disney Park Admission for Children Under 3

In case you needed another reason to bring those babies and toddlers to Disney World, here it is. They’re free under the age of three!
