Adventureland in Magic Kingdom: Everything You NEED to Know

Jul. 28, 2024

Adventureland

Adventureland is one of the six themed lands in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Off to left of Main Street, U.S.A., sits the difficult to describe land. From a jungle, to desert, and even some Caribbean thrown in, there is a lot going on here. Despite the mismatched theming, there is lots to do. In fact, you can find two of the most popular Magic Kingdom attractions in this land. There are lots of narrower paths in this section of the parks, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled so you don’t miss some of the attractions.

Adventureland Attractions

Pirates of the Caribbean: An ultimate Disney classic! Here, you voyage through the sea during this dark boat ride. There is a small plunge towards the beginning of the ride, but it is extremely mild.

Jungle Cruise: Another classic ride. Hop on a boat and explore the jungle while enjoying iconic animatronics and the sarcastic jokes of the skippers.

Swiss Family Treehouse: Climb up into the Swiss family treehouse that was inspired by the Swiss Family Robinson film. Many guests walk right past this because it is a little hidden and not a ride, but the theming is great and you will get a great view of the castle. Unfortunately, this attraction is not very accessible to those guests with any kind of mobility issues.

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room: Enjoy a show featuring dozens of tropical bird and tiki inspired animatronics.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin: Similar to the more popular Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction over in Fantasyland, fly up in the sky above Adventureland and control your own Magic Carpet.

Adventureland Food

Spring Roll Snack Cart: Right as you turn off of Main Street, U.S.A., there is a small snack cart off to the right of the Adventureland entrance. This tucked away snack is one of the best options in Disney World. There are different types of spring rolls available, but the cheeseburger ones are the most popular ones. Be sure to try them out!

Aloha Isle: An iconic Disney treat. Here is where you will find the classic pineapple (and other seasonal) DOLE Whips. If you are unfamiliar with these, they are soft- serve treats served in swirls, cups, floats, and other ways. A pineapple DOLE Whip is a must-do for a complete Disney experience! Find the official Disney World menu here.

Sunshine Tree Terrace: If you want a citrus inspired DOLE Whip or a classic chocolate or vanilla soft serve, this is the place to go. There are even floats, too! Find the official Disney World menu here.

Tortuga Tavern: Enjoy some classic theme park favorites, like orange chicken and hot togs, at this quick service location located across from Pirates of the Caribbean. Find the official Disney World menu here.

Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen: Enjoy an adventurous sit down lunch or dinner with the Jungle Cruise Skippers. The food here features flavors from Asia, Africa, and South America. Find the official Disney World menu here.

Shopping & More

Unfortunately there used to be more shops to explore in the land, but most did not re-open after the COVID-19 closures in 2020.

Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar: Find all your Pirates of the Caribbean themed merchandise here. This is the gift shop you will exit into after the ride, but it is quite large and well themed. As of July 23, 2024, this shop is closed for refurbishments, but head on over across to Tortuga Tavern to find a pop up store in the meantime.

A Pirate’s Adventure- Treasures of the Seven Seas: Complete up to 5 missions in this free interactive treasure hunt throughout Adventureland!
