If you’re visiting Disney’s Magic Kingdom and wondering where you should eat, there is definitely no shortage of food! From iconic Mickey shaped snacks to magical character dining experiences, there is something for everyone. If you’re planning on eating a full meal (or meals) in the park, but want to save both time and money, then Quick Service dining might be your best option.
What is Quick Service Dining?
Also referred to as counter service, quick service locations in Disney World are dining locations where you can get meals at a counter, similar to a fast food restaurants, and take it to go sit and eat without a server waiting on you. Some locations are large like a food-court, while others are small kiosks. A huge benefit is that no advanced dining reservations are required. All of these locations are themed to where they are located on Disney property in terms of both ambiance and food. All quick service entrees in the Magic Kingdom are $14.99 and under per adult.
Disney Dining Plan Quick Service Credits
If you are using the Disney Dining plan, either the standard one or quick service one, then you may be wondering what you get when you utilize a quick service dining credit. You will get one entree and a non-alcoholic beverage. If you are 21 or older, you can get certain beers, wines, or cocktails depending on what is available in place of a water or soft drink.
Here is the official Disney Dining Plan Overview
What is Mobile Order?
Mobile order allows you to order your meal for you and your entire party ahead of time on the My Disney Experience App. You simply go to the mobile order section of the app, select the dining location you want, and then order and pay all on the app. You will either pick or receive an arrival window and inform the app when you arrive at the restaurant during your arrival window. A notification will be sent to you once your food is ready and you go to pick it up at the Mobile Order section of the counter.
Not every quick service location offers mobile order, but most do. It is a great option to save time in line. One thing to note though is that some busier locations sometime do not have immediate arrival windows available, but you can order in advance to avoid limited availability when you’re hungry.
