When thinking about taking a vacation to Disney World with toddlers, many don’t think of EPCOT as a priority to visit. What you may not know is that there are several rides for toddlers to enjoy! EPCOT is my personal favorite park because it’s more relaxing, has lots of fun food and drinks, and has something for my entire family to enjoy. But more on EPCOT as a whole later, lets focus on the rides.
Some of the top rides in EPCOT are Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Frozen ever after, but there are many other rides with much lower wait times fit for the entire family. All of these rides on this list have no minimum height requirement, so if you have infants in your family, many are suitable for them as well. Please note that some rides are dark with some louder elements, so take that in to consideration for your individual children.
Best EPCOT Rides for Toddlers
World Celebration
World Celebration is the center of the park where the old Future World was. Here, you can find the classic EPCOT ball (Spaceship Earth), fun shops, and plenty of food. This world captures connecting with all communities around you.
- Spaceship Earth: Journey through the EPCOT icon on a slow moving omni-mover type vehicle. This timeless attraction shows how technology has advanced over human civilization. Even enjoy a fun look into your personal future as you travel back to earth. This ride has a lot of dark elements.
- Journey Into Imagination with Figment: Explore the five senses in Imagination Institute with a purple dragon named Figment. This ride is super cute, BUT…very loud at times, so be cautious with sensitive little ones.
World Nature
World Nature explores planet earth through the land, sea, and more! Many toddlers are able to run around and enjoy a lot of fun elements in this land, such as the new Moana inspired Journey of Water attraction. There are also two great ride options for toddlers.
- The Seas with Nemo and Friends: Ride in a clamshell in this slow moving dark ride as you watch the story of Nemo unfold before you with both digital and real fish. Even explore a large aquarium at the end of the ride.
- Living with the Land: Hop on a boat and travel through the greenhouses of the Land Pavilion as you learn about modern agriculture. This ride is often a walk on, too, so perfect for those antsy toddlers.
World Showcase
Walk through 11 countries around the world and discover different cultures, foods, and customs. There is so much to enjoy in this land, including three fun rides toddlers will love.
- Frozen Ever After: Float in a boat and sing along with your favorite Frozen characters. This ride is located in the Norway Pavilion and does include a small plunge at the end. Another thing to note is that this ride does tend to go down throughout the day for brief or long periods of time due to difficulties with the animatronics. This ride is quite popular, so lines are often long.
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure: Shrink down to the size of a rat and help Remy in the kitchen on this trackless vehicle ride. This ride is dark, moves quickly, and does spray a little water in your face, but if you have an adventurous toddler, then this ride is perfect. To experience this ride fully, 3D glasses need to be worn, so keep that in mind. This ride is located in the France Pavilion. Expect long wait times since this is still a newer ride.
- Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros: Located in the Mexico Pavilion, get in a boat and travel through Mexico with the singing Three Caballeros featuring Donald Duck. This ride is similar to “It’s a Small World” in Magic Kingdom, but is much shorter. This ride often has one of the lowest wait times in the park and is often a walk on.
Rides to Book Lightning Lanes For
If you are purchasing Genie +, I recommend booking Lightning Lanes for the following attractions. If you aren’t using Genie +, then I suggest riding these rides first thing in the morning, during fireworks, or during extra time in the parks from being a Resort guest. These rides are very popular and lines can get quite lengthy, up to two hours.
- Frozen Ever After
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
