Resort-Refillable Mugs in Disney World: A Hidden Deal?

Jun. 15, 2024

Disney Resort-Refillable Mugs

Headed to Disney World and staying at one of the resorts on property? Here’s a Disney deal that may save you money. The Disney Resort-Refillable Mugs offer guests continuous drink refills at any of the Disney Hotels. You will also get a cute souvenir to take the Disney magic home with you!

Here is Everything you Need to Know about Disney’s Resort-Refillable Mugs

Disney's Resort-Refillable Mugs

Where Can You Use Them?

These mugs can only be used at the resorts, not the theme parks or Disney Springs. No matter which Disney resort you are staying at, you can refill your mug at any of them. The self-serve refill stations are located at the quick service dining locations of the Disney hotels. There are also mug wash stations near most of the refill stations, so no need to worry about running into a bathroom to clean out your mug between drinks.

What Drinks Can You Get?

Here are a list of beverage types available for refills:

  • Soft Drinks
  • Water
  • Lemonade
  • Gatorade/ Vitamin Water
  • Hot Coffee
  • Iced Coffee
  • Hot Tea
  • Iced Tea
  • Hot Chocolate

*Please Note: If you are visiting with little ones, milk and juice are not refill options

How Much Do Resort-Refillable Mugs Cost?

If you purchase the mug on its own, it is $21.99. If you are using a Disney Dining Plan, then it comes with the cost of the plan.

Is it Worth it?

Like most things, I guess, it depends. If you are planning on drinking coffee or tea at your resort every morning, then probably. The price of the mug does not change whether you are staying for one night, or 14 nights, so it is definitely worth it for those longer stays. Like most things in Disney World, drinks are expensive, so I have always found the mugs to be worth the price if I am staying more than two nights. Plus, you get to take it home and use it again and again!

If you have purchased a mug on a previous trip, unfortunately you cannot use it again. The refills are only valid for your current trip. Each mug has a chip on the bottom of it and the beverage station reads the chip to determine if a mug is eligible for refill or not. If it is not eligible, then no drink will dispense.
